Prime3D Disclaimer
Full Disclaimer, Terms & Conditions for Prime3D
-
Use of Products
All 3D printed items provided by Prime3D are provided “as-is” and are intended for prototyping, display, or personal use only, unless otherwise specified. They are not certified for critical or load-bearing applications, medical use, or food contact unless explicitly stated in writing. It is the responsibility of the client to determine the suitability of each part for its intended application.
-
Intellectual Property & Design Liability
Clients must ensure that any design files submitted to us do not infringe on third-party copyrights, trademarks, or patents. Prime3D is not liable for any intellectual property violations resulting from files provided by customers. Designs provided by the client are assumed to be owned or licensed by the client. Prime3D assumes no responsibility for design errors, IP infringement, or unintended consequences arising from the client’s designs.
-
Engineering Tolerances & Specifications
While we strive for precision, tolerances can vary based on material, print technology, and part complexity. Critical fit or tolerance requirements must be communicated in writing and approved before production. Otherwise, standard tolerances apply as per our specifications.
Due to the nature of 3D printing, slight variations in colour, texture, and dimensions may occur. While we aim for precision, Prime3D does not guarantee exact tolerances.
-
Material Limitations, Selection & Mechanical Properties
Printed parts may have material-specific limitations (e.g. brittleness, UV sensitivity, temperature tolerance). It is the client's responsibility to determine if a material is appropriate for the intended use.
Material datasheets can be provided upon request. It is the customer’s responsibility to assess the mechanical, thermal, and chemical properties of selected materials for their specific application. Prime3D does not guarantee material performance under load, stress, or environmental exposure.
-
Health & Safety
3D printed parts may have sharp edges or emit fumes during post-processing. Handle with care and keep out of reach of children unless the product is intended for children and tested accordingly.
-
Post-Processing & Machining
Any post-processing (e.g. sanding, tapping, painting, annealing) or secondary machining must be conducted with caution. Prime3D is not liable for issues arising after third-party alterations or finishing.
-
Limitation of Liability
Prime3D shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or misuse of our 3D printed products or services.
In no event shall Prime3D be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of business, revenue, or data arising from use of our 3D printed parts. Liability, if any, is limited to the total cost of the printing service provided.
-
Modification & Cancellation
Orders may not be modified or cancelled once printing has begun. Refunds or reprints will be considered only in cases of manufacturing defects and at the sole discretion of Prime3D.
Disclaimer – Printing from Client-Supplied Files
-
Client Responsibility for Design Files
All files submitted to Prime3D are assumed to be final, tested, and owned by the client. We do not modify, verify, or optimise customer files unless explicitly requested and agreed upon in writing.
-
No Design Liability
Prime3D is not responsible for functional, dimensional, structural, or assembly-related issues arising from the supplied file. This includes, but is not limited to:
-
Wall thickness errors
-
Inadequate tolerances
-
Interference fits
-
Unsupported features
-
Material incompatibility
-
Intellectual Property
By submitting a file, you confirm that:
You own the intellectual property (IP) rights or have authorisation to use it.
The submitted design does not infringe upon any third-party patents, trademarks, or copyrights.
Prime3D is not liable for any legal disputes resulting from IP violations.
-
Manufacturing Tolerances & Output Variability
All parts are produced within standard tolerances for the chosen material and print method. If your design requires tight tolerances or engineering certification, you must notify us in advance — otherwise, standard tolerances apply and parts are provided as-is.
-
Review & Approval
We do not conduct formal design reviews on client-supplied files unless contracted to do so. It is the client's responsibility to ensure:
-
The part is printable
-
The geometry is correct
-
All required features are included
-
Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to reprinting the part in the event of a confirmed manufacturing defect caused during the printing process. We are not liable for downstream failures, assembly issues, or any indirect damages.
-
Right to Refuse
We reserve the right to refuse any print job that contains offensive content, illegal designs (e.g. weapons or restricted items), or appears to violate our terms or applicable laws.
-
Modification & Cancellation
Orders may not be modified or cancelled once printing has begun. Refunds or reprints will be considered only in cases of manufacturing defects and at the sole discretion of Prime3D.
